The hottest show on 4 OR 2 wheels! Come see this area's most beautiful rides! See registration form for details. All proceeds will be given to Grace Closet. Grace Closet is a small, Christian-based non profit that is run by volunteers from several churches around the area. The Grace Closet was founded in early 2019. Jared and Christina Harris, foster parents at the time, saw a need for not only foster families and children in the North Webster and surrounding areas, and thus the idea for The Grace Closet was started. The Closet quickly began to help not only foster families, but kinship placements (relatives who take in children under the care of DCFS and receive little to no monetary compensation or help from the state), people in need, and victims or trauma and tragedies (house fires, job loss, etc.). Everything is free to those in need.
Come see the 17th Annual Antique Tractor, Engine, and Power Show! The show is 9 am to 3 pm with our parade at 10 am. Reach out to James Burns at 318-464-0297 for more information!
Micah McKinney has been chainsaw carving for about 4 years. He was introduced to it one weekend while visiting a friend in Texas. He started out carving a feather and was then challenged to carve a bear. Once he was finished with that, he had found a new hobby and he "was hooked"!
Before long he started carving more regularly. Last spring, he sold his house and moved to family land in Cass County to be able to carve full time. One perk of moving to family land is there are "lots of trees"!
The Lumberjack Festival is happy to have Micah with us this year. He will be bringing some of his pieces that he has carved and will have them for you to look at and for sale if you are interested. He will be doing his first show on Saturday morning, October 8 at 11:00 am.
Look for Micah to be set up outside next to the CAC Building! Bring your lawn chair and watch the whole show!
"I am excited to be coming to Springhill for the festival! I am happy to be given this opportunity!" ~~ Micah
